After a close loss to defending league champs Port Townsend last Thursday, Vashon wrestlers bounced back on Saturday against a competitive field, placing fifth in a 12-team tournament that included returning 2A state champs White River. Top placers were Ethan McIntyre (2nd), and Jake Carman, Nico Nuxoll and Isaac Escovedo (3rd). Next up: League title match at Klahowya on Thursday, Jan. 24, and the league tournament at Klahowya on Saturday, Feb. 2.
