Fourteen goals in two games spelled victory for the Pirates girls soccer team.
At home Tuesday the score was Vashon 7, Life Christian 2. At Chimacum Thursday it was Pirates 7, Cowboys 3.
Teal Sigler needed only 23 seconds to score the first of her three goals against the visiting Life Christian Eagles. Add two goals from Carlyle Scott and another from Sigler, and the Pirates led 4-0 before 10 minutes had ticked off the clock.
Coach Paul Beytebiere played reserves much of the rest of the first half, then sent the starters back to open the second half.
Sigler and Scott completed hat tricks — three goals — within the first nine minutes, and Bailey Protzeller finished the scoring for Vashon.

In the first minute, Sigler scored on a Lena deGuzman assist. In the fourth minute, Scott scored on a Sigler assist. In the sixth minute, Scott scored off a Sigler assist. In the 10th minute, Sigler scored off a deGuzman assist. In the 46th minute, Sigler scored off a Kiki Means assist.In the 49th minute, Scott scored unassisted. In the 62nd minute, Protzeller scored unassisted.
It took a few minutes longer for the Pirates to establish dominance over the Cowboys on Thursday, but once Sigler got started, she got another hat trick, this time with a feather, four goals in the first half.
After Sigler opened the scoring in the fifth minute, Chimacum came right back with a goal in the 15th minute. Vashon then opened up a 6-1 lead before the break.
Once again, coach Beytebiere was able to play reserves much of the first half and the majority of the second half.
JV forward/midfielder Megan Hackett made a good case for more varsity time with a strong showing in her first varsity game.

In the 62nd minute, Amick scored off a Scott assist.
There were no JV games last week.
