Vashon Youth Baseball and Softball (VYBS) has started its annual preseason hitting clinics.
This is the third year VYBS has utilized the clinics to help build excitement for the upcoming season for returning players, while offering a welcoming environment for players new to the sport.
There is no cost for the hitting clinics but players must register for the season to attend. Coaches and high school student players provide instruction to help get swings warmed up for the season. It’s also a great way for the baseball community to gather — parents and players have a great time talking about last season and sharing hopes for the new one about to begin.
Registration for softball and baseball is open now, and the next pre-season hitting clinics will take place on March 19 and 26, at Chautauqua Elementary School’s outdoor court. For more information, visit vashonbaseballandsoftball.com.
