The VIJC rowing team did so well that two of their boats were invited to row Windermere Cup Opening Day regatta, an invitation-only regatta, held annually at the University of Washington. The Pirates ended their losing streak in style last week, defeating Orting 11-5 on April 19 and taking down the Cascade Christian Cougars 11-4 on April 22.
The Pirate track and field team competed at Charles Wright on April 22. The boy’s team placed third with 47 points, while the girls took second with 71 points.
