More than 45 brave souls challenged the weather on Saturday, Dec. 18, to run or walk 2.5 miles in the Jingle Bell Fun Run/Walk.

The wind and rain that characterized most of Saturday disappeared from the start and held off until the last cup of hot cider was sipped. Starting and returning uptown with a very wet loop in the Gateway trail/creek system of ICF, runners wore costumes ranging from shorts and singlets to full Christmas regalia.

It was a chance for people to meet and mingle also, with grown children home from college, before the hectic holiday season. First back were Harrison Decker and Ursa Medeiros at 15:48.
