Both players and parents are invited to take the course and become paid referees. Players must be at least age 12 or going into seventh-grade. VISC covers the cost of the class, and after the clinic mentors will continue to train referees on the field. The clinic will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, at McMurray Middle School.
