Geran Webb wrestles freestyle

Geran Webb, a junior at Vashon High School, placed second at a freestyle state tournament two weeks ago in Auburn. In his first three matches, Webb dominated, pinning all three opponents using a multitude of spectacular moves. He put up a good fight in the finals before losing to the state champion from Spokane.

By placing second at state, he qualified for the Junior National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota. Held in July, this is the premier high school tournament in the country and is also recognized as the largest tournament in the world.
