Vashon High School’s (VHS) cross country season begins August 21 — and coaches Bruce and Lisa Cyra are encouraging interested athletes to start planning ahead for a great season.

Runners and parents can come to an initial meeting and practice at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at the VHS track, where the upcoming season will be discussed. Those ready to run will be led through a typical practice by the team’s captains, Madeline Yarkin and Oli Nielsen.

Vashon’s own home meet will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 26, starting on the McMurry Middle School fields.
