The Vashon High School boys’ basketball team had its first loss of the season Tuesday, Dec. 15, falling to Seattle Academy 55-47. The team came back strong Thursday night defeating Northwest Yeshiva High School 66-21. Head coach Andy Sears said the team came out hot and shot the ball extremely well.
“We did a fantastic job sharing the ball,” Sears said. “We are very tough to beat when we show this level of selflessness.”
The team took on Darrington High School on Saturday and scraped by with a 47-45 victory. A home game against Bremerton’s Crosspoint on Monday night brought another victory as the boys wrapped it up 73-43.
The Pirates will play at home against Oregon’s Sherwood High School at 6 p.m. Monday. League play will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 with a home game against Bellevue Christian.
