Last week my wife and I experienced a parental rite of passage — our daughter climbed on board a school bus for the first time. We were worried that she would get cold feet at the last moment — but no, off she went, happily heading toward her first day of school.
As children, our imaginations had no limit.
For me, there are really three and a half seasons in the year. There’s autumn, my absolutely favorite season.
Opinions can be dangerous things. Wars have been started because of them, people have died because of them, the fates of entire races and the destinies of whole countries have been permanently altered just because a difference in belief escalated into a conflict due to a lack of understanding and empathy.
