Dear islanders,

Please help keep Vashon great. There are many great things about Vashon Island that make me feel lucky to live here, the beautiful natural surroundings, the wonderful people and the great public school system.

The excellent teachers and public school facilities are one of the main reasons I moved to Vashon. Knowing my kids would have a safe and nurturing environment and positive motivating teachers and administrators has given me and my family a very real sense of community here.

The State of Washington does not adequately fund public education and we are asked once again to help with renewing a levy to continue basic maintenance of our great facilities. These are not funds used to build or expand facilities, but merely to adequately maintain existing ones.

Please join me in showing support to our hard working school staff and students by voting to renew this maintenance levy.
