Why do the organizers of Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts (VME) try to keep the date of their Isle of Vashon TT event a secret? It obviously doens’t work. The only people they are keeping it a secret from are the people who are most affected by it.

The least they could do is warn the people of Vashon what day it’s going to be on so the ones who don’t care for it can prepare for all the noise and chaos the event causes.

Did they plan purposely for it to fall on Sept. 11?

Sept. 11 was a day in this country’s history that brought terrorism to the forefront and, in a way, I was terrorized on Sept. 11.

I suffer from PTSD and it came out on that day. How ironic.

The organizers of VME (I use that term loosely as most of the motorcycles aren’t even vintage) should have a little more consideration for the people who call this island home.

P.S. I don’t have an issue with the participants who obeyed the laws, thank you to them.
