Willoughby Greenwood began her next journey on August 12th, 2023. She passed away comfortably in her cozy cabin surrounded by family and close friends at the age of 90 due to natural causes.

Born May 1st 1933, Willoughby’s life was extravagant, amazing, and filled with generosity and travel that stretched to the far reaches of every part of the earth. Those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that was allotted. Her absolute unconditional love and support she showed so many people in her life was unmeasurable; a true philanthropist at heart, an amazing mother, incredible sister, immaculate daughter and truly loyal friend to so many.

Willoughby was the trustee of the Royal Little Family Foundation and through the foundation gave tremendous support to a number of community service organizations on Vashon Island where she lived the last 40 years of her life. Personally, she was unfailingly generous to many people often helping younger people with their educations including taking them traveling with her.

Willoughby is survived by her brother Arthur, her son Galen, and daughter MaraWyn, five grandchildren, and many ‘nother children. She will be missed greatly and remembered for years to come.

Willoughby asked to not have a funeral but a celebration of life would be in order.

In the spring the family will have a celebration of life to honor her.
