William Austin Van Houten of Lakewood, WA and Vashon, WA passed away of natural causes in his sleep at age 77.

His wife Ana Cooper predeceased him in 2020.

Bill moved to Washington state in 2000 after living in Southern and Northern California.

He is survived by his brother Dr. Peter Van Houten and his spouse Patrica Hall, his sister-in-law Mary Hughes and her spouse Bob, his cousin Robert Byrd, and friends and colleagues.
