Teresa (Teri) Scott

On Friday November 26th 2010, Teri died at her Mothers home in El Cajon, Ca. unexpectedly of an embolism of the Heart. She came to Vashon-Maury Island September 1985 and never left us for 25 years. She had found her home on this planet. She was born on February 13th, 1954 in La Jolla CA. to Viola and Darrell Scott. She graduated in 1972 from Granite Hills High School in El Cajon Worked in the family business; Lajolla Auto Body from 1974 to 1985. She worked many jobs on the island, Maury Island farms, Vashon Island Golf Club 1989 thru 1992, Seattle best coffee 1994 thru 2003 and owned Teri’s Detail 2003 on. She was preceded in Death by her Dad on February 3rd 2010.She is survived by her Mother Viola Scott, Sister Paulette Garrett and her nephew Kristopher Garrett. Her partner Janis Larsen, daughter Nikki and Granddaughter Peyton. Teri’s passion was people. To be loved by her friends and family and to love them back. She will be missed by sight but not by our memories and hearts. Please join Teri’s extended family and friends for an informal memorial celebration of her life on Sunday February 27th, 2011 from 1 to 4pm at the Eagles club (18134 Vashon Hwy S.W.) Bring a potluck dish if you would like and we will have an open mic for sharing memories and stories. In lieu of cards or flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated and accepted for her resting place at Vashon Island Cemetery for all to visit.
