Sharron Palmer was born December 12th, 1942. She was raised by her parents Donald and Olive Frazier in Portland, Oregon.
She and her family moved to Vashon, Washington when she was the young age of 12, the oldest of 6 children. She grew up on the island where she graduated from Vashon High School. She went on to meet her husband James C. Palmer, they stayed on Vashon, where they grew their family together, having their son James C. Palmer Jr. and daughter Shelli L Palmer.
Sharron found her career at Vashon’s US Bank where her love of community as well as her charming personality flourished. She retired from the bank after 33 years. After retirement, she went on to sell her home on Vashon to travel to sunny Arizona when the grey skies came this way. She did that for many years before settling back on the island she loved, close to “her mountain” (Mt. Rainier) and her family.
Sharron continued to enjoy her love of reading, hummingbirds and anything in the garden. She spent her last days surrounded by family and loved ones. She passed peacefully in her sleep with her son by her side on March 1, 2025.
Sharron is survived by her son James and his wife Lyndsey, Granddaughter Kayla, her daughter Shelli and her husband Charlie, Granddaughter Keydra (plus great-grandson Raeleigh), Grandson Dean, her Daughter Jeni and her husband Ryan, Granddaughters Juliet and Lindsey, Grandsons Jonah and Tony, as well as her sisters Jackie, Elaine, Diana, Carmen and their families.
We also want to thank the care team that helped to make her last months the absolute best.
A memorial will be held in the near future, please reach out to Jim for details.
