Robert Roy Ling (Bob) was born on April 28, 1936, and passed away Nov. 13 at 11:30 p.m. at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. Bob lived on Vashon Island for the last 40 years of his life, where he raised his family. He was very involved in numerous community associations, including Vashon Island Youth Sports, Jaycees, and Eagles.

Over the course of his life he worked in a wide array of occupations, from a Boeing employee, to many different sales jobs, to all phases of home construction, to real estate.

Bob is survived by his brother Richard Tritten, four grandchildren and six children; Scott of Orting, Kevin of Buckley, Shawna Bunch of San Antonio, Texas, Julie Chisholm of Bellingham, Darin of Vashon Island, and Bryon of Kent. He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra and his brother Douglas.

Bob was an extremely self-motivated hard worker, who enjoyed the outdoors and projects with his family. He will be remembered and greatly missed by all of his many friends and family.
