Robert L. Browning died from a massive cerebral hemorrhage while at work on Dec. 10, 2010.
Mr. Browning was born in Ellensburg, Wash. on Oct. 22, 1952; he was a graduate of the Vashon High School class of 1971. While in high school, he worked weekends and summers at Beall’s Greenhouse, and after graduation he worked at K2 for a short time until he moved to Tampa, Fla., looking for lots of sunshine and warm weather.
In Tampa, Mr. Browning enjoyed competition fast pitch softball and tournament Frisbee with his best friend Mike Schwitzer. Mr. Browning worked for Eastern Airlines Charter Service BPA as an assistant manager in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
On Oct. 10, 1986, Mr. Browning married Kimberely Kowalik. Together they had two daughters, Maribeth and Roxanne. Mr. Browning worked for Hedor Development as a superintendent, building hotels and attractions for Disney and Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. for over 20 years. Mr. Browning enjoyed sports on TV and attending and videotaping everything his daughters were involved in.
Mr. Browning is survived by his wife Kim, daughters Maribeth of Tallahassee and Roxanne of Ybor City, Fla., mother-in-law Hedy Macro of Tampa, Fla., mother Bettye Browning of Dockton, brothers Randy of Seattle and Billy and Larry of Honolulu, sister Mardelle Channon and family of Severna Park, Md., and aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and many Vashon friends and classmates.
