Robert Cromwell Scott

His ability to light up a room will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Robert Cromwell Scott passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on May 30th, 2024, in Green Valley, Arizona, at the age of 86.

Robert was born on February 19th, 1938, in White Plains, New York, to William and Inez Scott. He served his country with honor as a member of the Navy. He joined in May of 1955 and received an honorable discharge in February of 1959, achieving the rank of Ordnanceman Petty Officer 3rd Class.

After his service, Robert married Judith McCleery and moved his family to Vashon Island, Washington. He would work as a business owner and process server before retiring in Sequim, Washington, and eventually moving to his final home in Green Valley, Arizona. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his father William Scott, his mother Inez, his sister Lee, his brother Ken, and his second wife Judy Sargent.

He is survived by his sister Ruth (Truman) Weekley, his children Wende (George) Hill and Blake (Brenda) Scott, his grandson, Ryan (Karisa) Johnson, and his great-granddaughter Harper Johnson, whom he adored.

Robert was an active member of the American Legion Post 66, where he enjoyed socializing with his friends, cracking jokes, and telling stories to all who would listen. A man of many interests, Robert found joy in the game of golf and was an avid sports fan. He always cherished the time spent with his family, bringing smiles to their faces with his sharp wit and sense of humor.

His ability to light up a room will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Robert’s legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
