Paul Miller of Port Orchard, Wash., died March 26, 2005. He was 88 years old.
Mr. Miller was born July 12, 1916, in Beulah, N.D. to John and Louisa (Weil) Miller.
He married Linda Hertha Schwartzman Nov. 7, 1942.
Mr. Miller was a resident of Paradise Valley on Vashon for more than 40 years (from 1945 to 1989).
He worked for the Washington State Ferries for 26 years and retired in 1978. He was an able seaman and a deck hand on the Vashon/Fauntleroy/Southworth run.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge on Vashon and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his son Bob Miller and wife Candace of Olalla, Wash., son Paul Miller and wife Elaine of Montesano, Wash., brother Richard Miller of Ritzville, Wash., and sisters Ruth Krukenburg of Odessa and Martha Richter of Stanton, N.D., and seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A service was held April 1 in Port Orchard.
