Patricia Carlough-Rumburg died in her sleep Dec. 1, 2002, on Vashon Island. She was 47 years old.
She was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Seaside, Ore.
She lived in several different locations, including Alaska and Mexico. But the majority of her life she spent on Vashon Island.
She was well known and loved by strangers, friends and family alike.
Friends and family say Patti was intelligent, kind, loving, headstrong and cleaver. She always loved helping and solving other people’s problems and conflicts.
Despite her disability, she always stayed active on taking care of her friends and family, living life as any person would.
Throughout her life, she was always socializing and laughing.
Her last wishes will be followed, and her ashes will be spread in her favorite place in the world, Hacher Pass, Alaska. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her three children Michael, Jeffrey and Brenna Rumburg of Vashon Island.
A memorial will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at the home of Gary and Lorraine Rumburg, 8114 S.W. Dilworth Road.
