Nancy Ruth Capps

Nancy Ruth Capps, a longtime resident of Vashon Island, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 27th 2015, after battling a long illness with cancer. She was born in 1952

in Seattle, WA.

Nancy attended Federal Way High School, Highline Community College, and Evergreen State College where she did an internship at the Institute for Dance Movement Therapy. She began her work career as a jewelry store manager for Fred Meyer. Later she became an esthetician and had her own business.

Nancy had a true love for nature…caring for birds, animals, plants, and trees. She loved living next to the water. She studied meditation, Reiki, Shen and other healing modalities.

Nancy is survived by her half-sister, niece, and step brothers, who all live in the Puget Sound area.

A memorial service in honor of Nancy will be held at Island Funeral Services on Vashon Island at 2:00pm January 30th, 2016.
