Nancy Ellen Isakson died suddenly on May 11th 2009. She was born August 7th 1945 in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Bertil and Ellen Isakson, her parents moved to Vashon that same year. Nancy was a Jehovah Witness all her life and was well known for her door to door ministry and letter writing in her later years.
Nancy and her family were one of the very first Jehovah’s Witnesses on the Island and she enjoyed telling others about how she and the family would work together to prepare for Sundays meetings by clearing an area in the woods near her home and Brothers would come over from West Seattle to deliver the Public Talk and conduct the study of the Watchtower.
Over the years Nancy had many health problems yet because of her faith in Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ she maintained a joy because of the bright Bible based hope of the future where mankind will live forever in paradise on earth. Nancy never missed an opportunity to tell others about that hope.
Her family and friends will miss her warm smile and the love she had for others very much. She is survived by her Brother David Isakson and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service was delayed to enable her Brother and his wife to come from Groton, South Dakota.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday October 10th at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 19850 Beall Road SW.
