Mrs. Randall was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Spencer, South Dakota. In 1940 she moved west to Oregon with her parents, joining other family members who were already in the area. Eventually she made her way to the Seattle area.
Mrs. Randall was a Jill-of-all trades, doing many different kinds of jobs including teaching, bookkeeping, accounting, carhopping, cashiering, helping Boeing build airplanes (bombers) and typing for the Navy. She once convinced her dentist he needed her as an office assistant.

Her next adventure lasted many years as she was the wife of a Foreign Service officer in the U.S. Embassy (CIA). She lived in many places around the world including Saigon; Hong Kong; McLean, Va., Rabat, Morocco; Brazzaville, Congo; Paris, France; Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Kampala, Uganda.
The couple retired in 1970 and came back to the the Seattle area and eventually settled on Vashon Island.
She had many interests including gardening, fishing, sewing and dancing. She belonged to the Vashon Island Golf and Country Club for many years and pursued her golf and bridge interests.
Friends and family say she was quick to smile, always a gracious hostess, and was game for just about anything. Her son Gray and his wife Jeanne will miss the twinkle in her eye, even at the end.
