John D. Divis, formerly of Vashon, died Oct. 9, 2004, at Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville, Wash. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Divis was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Dec. 11, 1940.
He lived on Vashon for many years and retired from Vashon Sand and Gravel after a stroke in 1998.
Survivors include his wife Holly K. Divis of Vashon, son David Divis of Illinois, daughter Kim Turnbow of Oak Harbor, Wash. and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service for John will during the 10:30 a.m. service, Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Vashon United Methodist Church.
