Jessica Marie Nelson

Her warmth, generosity, and infectious laughter left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jessica Marie Nelson on March 3, 2025. Born on May 2, 1976, Jessica was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She is an irreplaceable presence in the Vashon Island community, known for her warmth, generosity, and infectious laughter that left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Jessica embraced life with an open heart and a kind spirit. Whether she was greeting customers with a smile at Becks Bakery, Subs to Go, The Red Bicycle, The Hardware Store Restaurant, or The Vashon Athletic Club, or caring for children as a devoted mother and nanny, she radiated love and compassion. She found joy in the simple things — beach days, camping trips, and gatherings filled with laughter and love.

Above all, Jessica’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Dylan Creedon and his partner Emma Reeves, Hanna Harlan (Nelson) and her husband Zeke Harlan, Travis, Tyler, and Elsie Eller, and a loving partner to Chad Eller. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild, Isla June Harlan, and was so excited to embrace the role of grandmother.

Jessica was the cherished daughter of Jim (Bim) and Diane Nelson, and a beloved sister to Amy Clark (Nelson) and her husband Nick Clark, and Heidi Nelson and her partner Ryan Mailhot. She was also a proud aunt, a dear niece, and a loving cousin with a special connection to her Aunt, Deborah Stone (Jackson), and cousin, Crystal Irish (Nelson). Her presence brought light to the lives of so many, and her legacy of kindness and humor will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Jessica’s honor on Sunday, April 27th, at 1:00 PM at Camp Burton. All who knew and loved Jessica are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jessica Nelson Memorial Fund at U.S. Bank or through the GoFundMe established to assist with funeral expenses and to support her family during this difficult time. Contributions, kind words, and shared memories are deeply appreciated.

Jessica’s love and light will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a family and community who were made better by her presence and who will cherish her memory forever.

With love and gratitude, The Nelson/Eller Family
