Jean 02/19/1924 to 05/14/2011, Born in Dayton, OH

Charlie was a PFC in WWII. Following a jump in Normandy, he was

captured by the Germans and managed to escape 8 days later. He was awarded two purple hearts.

He retired from the Qwest and enjoyed the life of retirement. He loved flying his airplane and collected Studebakers.

In 1972 Jean and Charlie married and moved to Vashon.

Jean worked at Swedish Hospital as a Switchboard Operator for several years, and worked at K2 on Vashon.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening and was an avid reader. She had been known to stay up in the wee hours of the morning to finish a good book.

They are greatly missed by family and friends.

Survived by daughter, Bambi, (Tom), Granddaughter, Nicole, (Joel) and great-grandsons, Justin & Garrett and Niece & Nephews and good friends Peggy, Marlene & Mike.
