Jack Adolph Hakala died on July 6, 2003, at his home in Port Orchard, Wash., with his family around him. He was 71 years old.
Jack was born in Biwabik, Minn., on Jan. 22, 1932, and grew up in Aurora, Minn.
He also lived in Minneapolis, Seattle, Vashon Island, Manchester and Port Orchard.
He worked for Metro and retired from the City of Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife Winnie Hakala, to whom he was married for almost 53 years, three daughters, one son and one son-in-law: Sharon and Larry Clark, Elaine Hakala, Barbara Hakala and David Hakala. He had eight grand children and four great grandchildren.
A celebration of Jack’s life was planned.
