Frank W. Davis

Born May 13, 1918 in Seattle to Carl & Mabel Hopkins Davis. Frank grew up in Burien, and attended Highline High School before enlisting in the army. He served

under General Patton in the 607th Tank Destroyer battalion in WW11.

He and his wife Peg

settled and raised their family on a portion of Peg’s family’s pioneer homestead near Renton, WA. He was employed by the University of Washington as a construction coordinator for south campus. Upon retirement they traveled and enjoyed their beautiful granddaughters.

Frank moved to Vashon Island after Pegs death in 1997 to enjoy living next-door to his loving daughter and her family. He enjoyed wood carving, painting, hunting and documenting his time spent in WW11. At 94 years young Frank died peacefully in his sleep on July 31st, 2012.

He leaves his daughters Judy Whipple (Chipps) and Joan Davis, son Robert Davis and four granddaughters; Tegan (Ben) and Erin Horan, Sadie (Brian) and Bailey Whipple.
