Elinor Roberts Vallance, “Ellen,” mother of Lois and grandmother of Jennifer Vallance, died peacefully Dec. 8, 2009, at her daughter’s home. Vallance was born in Bristol, Virginia, Nov. 15, 1917, the daughter of Henry and Lois Roberts. She is preceded in death by her husband James and their son Alex.

A longtime resident of Vashon Island, she lived at Foundation House in Seattle prior to her death. A memorial and reception will be held Jan. 17 at the Unitarian Fellowship in Burton. Visit the online guestbook at www.islandfuneral.com.
