Douglas DenHerder of Joyce, Wash., died March 22, 2002. He was 48 years old.
Mr. DenHerder was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Portland, Ore., the son of Gerald and Waynelle Scovel DenHerder.
He had worked as a baker, a writer and a radio personality and had lived in Olympia for the past several years as a baker.
He will be remembered for spending time outdoors with his friends and his dog, Abner.
Survivors include a daughter, Chantrelle, of Seattle, his father Gearld and step-mother Roseana DenHerder of Marysville, brothers Craig DenHerder of Port Angeles and Jerry DenHerder of Tacoma.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Vashon Island Cemetery.
A reception will follow services, the location to be announced. Memorials may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, P. O. Box 96555, Washington, D.C., 20090.
