Della Lucille Kvisvik, formerly of Vashon Island, died March 30, 2003, in Tacoma, Wash. She was 83 years old.
Born May 7, 1919, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Lucille Maud Cazenave and Dell Bronson Stockwell, Lucille lived on Vashon Island for over six decades.
Her husband of 46 years, Hjalmar, died in 1990.
Survivors include sisters Alice Atkinson and her husband Walter of California, and Peggy Steinheimer and her husband Jack of Nevada, and daughters Alyce Aaby and her husband Bob of Tacoma and Jerry Watson and her husband Hank of California, and son Edgar Owen and his wife Joyce of Texas, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
While on Vashon Island, Lucille and Hjalmar were the owners and operators of The Den Café, following which both were longtime employees of Beall’s Greenhouse.
Mrs. Kvisvik was a member of Bethel Church, where she enjoyed Bible study classes and fellowship. She also found pleasure in sewing, bowling and traveling to the ocean to dig clams.
