David Sigler was born near Chillicothe, Ohio on August 8, 1939. He was the youngest of three children. At age 17, he joined the Navy and spent four years aboard the aircraft carrier, Ranger.
When he was discharged, he married Corinna Barnett. They lived in northern California for several years during which time they had a son, David Jr. and a daughter, Tina. While there,
David worked in a sawmill, did ceramic tile work and asphalt surfacing.
In 1966, the family moved to Seattle and David was employed at Boeing. In 1971, their youngest child, Michele was born. Before being hired by K2, David bought an auto body repair shop at Center, which he operated part or full time until he retired.
In 1981, He married Michelle Belfrage bringing the number of children in the household to 6.
At age 67, David retired to enjoy being at home. He died on Wednesday, December 26th at home. He’s survived by his wife, Michelle, son David in California, daughters Tina in Nebraska and
Michele of Lynnwood Washington, sister Lois Leach in Ohio, step son Stephen Belfrage on Vashon and step daughter Holly Dunham of Snohomish. He also had 10 grandchildren. His step son Chris Belfrage preceded him in death.
He is missed by us all.
