Danielle “Dani” DeVaul died Aug. 17, 2005, in a car accident in La Ceiba, Honduras. She was 41 years old.
She was born June 19, 1964, in St. Paul, Minn.
Her family says she enjoyed family, friends, entertaining and travel.
They remember her for having an endless amount of energy. She enjoyed preparing gourmet food on a moment’s notice. She was known for creating beautiful jewelry and giving it away to people.
She was in Roatan, Honduras to celebrate her sister’s birthday when she died.
She also was working to start a Spanish wine importing business, Winn DeVaul Imports, with her friend Cory Winn.
In addition to her children Avery and Daehler DeVaul of Vashon Island, survivors include her mother and stepfather, Pat and George Tolar of Port Orchard, sisters Debi and her husband Gary of Tacoma and Aimee and her husband Brandon of Brooklyn, N.Y., and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of friends.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at First Lutheran Church, 2483 Mitchell Road S.E., Port Orchard.
Following the service, friends are invited to celebrate her life at 6 p.m. at the home of Cory and David Winn, 9518 S.W. Bank Road on Vashon.
Burial will be at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Vashon Cemetery.
