Colleen Theresa (Savage) Zellerhoff

She was gracious, dedicated and a Star Trek fact machine.

The amazing and lovely Colleen passed away suddenly on the morning of May 29th, 2024 at home with her beloved husband Frank and cherished pup Schotzi by her side.

Colleen loved spending time at their home on Vashon, walking the trails and taking photos of everything.

Colleen spent her younger years riding and showing horses with many special friends with whom she has kept in contact with her entire life. Colleen was as dedicated to her work life as she was in personal life and spent 38 years working at Bank of America where she made several lifelong friendships and met Frank in 1985.

Colleen was an avid photographer and always had the best photos and videos to share. In addition, Colleen was a fact machine for history, all things Star Trek (not Star Wars) and 80s movies.

She was always one to welcome a new guest at a gathering and make them feel part of the crew. Her smile lured you in, her factual banter kept you engaged, and when the gathering was over… she had invited you to come over any time and hang out, and you absolutely wanted to do that!

Colleen was a gracious and beautiful lady who will be remembered for her great intellect, kindness, cheerful laugh and love of everything. Your family and friends will love you always! I will cherish the wonderful life we shared, your beauty, love and spirit will be with me for the rest of my life.

Preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Betty Savage and mother-in-law Nancy Zellerhoff. Colleen is survived and deeply missed by her husband Frank Zellerhoff and amazing dog Schotzi; her father-in-law Frank Zellerhoff Sr. of Vashon; brother Robert (Chona) Savage of Philippines; sisters-in-law Teresa (Steve) Zellerhoff-King of Elma and Julie Zellerhoff-Danzer of Vashon; nephews Christopher (Pauline) Savage, Ryan King, Justin King and Joseph King of Seattle; nieces Jennifer (Marq) Savage-Dean of Whidbey Island, Jessica (Evan) Danzer-Hills of Vashon and Kendall (Baxter) Danzer-Call of Portland.
