Clayton Blaine Bomber passed on Feb. 21, 2011. He was 52 years old. Clay was born on Nov. 23, 1958 in Seattle, WA.
He and his family moved to Philadelphia in 1962 where he started kindergarten. In 1966, his family moved to Federal Way, WA and then to Vashon in 1968.
Clay graduated from Vashon High School in 1976 and attended the University of Washington.
Some of his many hobbies were welding, metal art with his Rusty Horse Shoe Designs, and music.
Clay received his first electric guitar and amplifier for Christmas when he was 7 years old and would play for anyone who would listen. He later became an accomplished musician and was one of the original members in the band “Subconscious Population” and taught many others to play the guitar and love music as he did.
One of his first jobs was working at the Spinnaker Restaurant. He later worked at K-2, with Kimco Construction, many years doing carpentry and building.
Clay moved to the Seattle University District when he was hired on at Todd Shipyard where he was a member of the Boilermakers Local 104.
Clay is survived by his parents, Phil and Mary Bomber; his sister, Vanese; niece, McKenzie; nephew, Aaron; and his favorite aunt, Loy; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of good friends.
There will be a memorial service/celebration of his life on Saturday, March 12 at 2 pm at the Vashon Eagles.
