Catherine Mary Galus died Aug. 31, 2004, after a sudden illness. She was 82 years old.

She was born Catherine Gorynski March 21, 1922, in Seattle.

She married Frank Galus on Nov. 14, 1942, and worked in personnel at American Marietta (now Unifar) and the Seattle Post Intelligencer. She was a long-time West Seattle resident before moving to Issaquah. She volunteered for many years n the sewing group at Mt. St. Vincent.

She loved her family, gardening and feeding birds.

Survivors include her daughters, Veronica and her husband Gary Schroeder, Stephanie and her husband Daniel Fitzgerald, son John and his wife Georgia Galus, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a brother, Ray Gorynski. Her husband Frank died earlier as did her parents, sister Marge Morgan and brothers Richard and Henry.

Private services are planned. Memorials to a favorite charity are welcome.
