Beloved husband, father, and friend passed peacefully on March 12, 2024. Bruce was born in Springfield, Ohio, on August 12, 1934. He served in the Army in Cold Bay, Alaska, then worked at IBM for 35 years. Following that career, he began anew as Radio Engineer at KIRO, Vashon.
Bruce cut and baled hay on many a Vashon field, volunteered with Kitsap Live Steamers and Granny’s Attic and worked on the engine of the Virginia V.
He spent many happy early morning hours at SBC/Minglement coffee shop.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Sheryl, his children, Mark of Auburn, Steven of Vashon, and Charity and Chris Craft of Frederickson, Washington. He also is survived by stepchildren, Luke Tomkinson of Vashon and Laila and John Allen of Seattle, as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren – the last of which he was able to see when she was just one month old. His first wife, Edie Allen, passed away in 2022.
Bruce was a most patient and loving family man who will be missed by all.
