Brad Middling was a son, brother, father, nephew, uncle, cousin, grandpa, and friend to many but most importantly a dad. Now, Brad has biological children of his own to which he was a father, but he also had several others whom he took in and was simply dad. He was a man with relatively humble beginnings who blossomed into a savvy businessman, yet he never forgot where he came from or his strong family values.
Brad had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He had many projects about which he was passionate. These included restoring cars, building gardens, and lending a helping hand in the community. He embodied being in the moment. He lived his life to the fullest yet always had time for family and community connection.
Brad is predeceased by his parents, Robert Raab and Gloria Jean Middling, and his brother Steven Middling. He is survived by an extended family including his significant other Kristen Beck; his sons, Jacob and Cameron Middling; his daughters, Ashlea Olwell and Ruby Middling; his stepsons, Josh, Alex, Joe and Jimmy, as well as his sisters, Debbie, Linda, Tony and Candie; and his brothers, Doug and Eric; his daughters-in-law, Jaquelyn, Liza, and Nichole; his granddaughters, Madelynn, Aliyah, Music and Magnolia, and his grandsons, Roots, Logan, Caleb, Lincoln, and Louis.
The family appreciates the huge outpouring of love and support from the Vashon Island community, as well as from far and wide. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Circle Rock Ranch 23510 63rd Ave SW Vashon, Washington Saturday, October 2nd, at 2pm. All who knew Brad and loved him are welcome.
