1936-2019
Ann Youmans passed on quietly in her home on April 7th, 2019 with her husband Bob and two Vashon Network Caregivers at her side. Providence-Hospice provided guidance for her illness from September of 2018 until her passing.
Ann was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and at an early age moved to Savannah, Georgia. She and Bob met in their senior year of high school and married 3 years later. They were married for 62 years and had 2 children. Daughter Ce Ce Billings passed on in 2009 from diabetic complications. She had a daughter Kristen Billings who lives with her fiancée Ben in Shelton, WA. Son Scott and his wife Andrea live in Bothell, WA. They have 2 daughters Savannah and Syrel, currently living in Eastern WA. Ann had 2 brothers, Gardner and John Hale. Gardner, the older brother, has passed on. His 2 children, Angela and Grant Hale, now live in the Atlanta, GA area. Younger brother John and wife Martha live on Camano Island, WA and have 3 children, John Hale, Jr., Brad Hale, and Julia Krill.
Ann requested that her life be celebrated with a small potluck-type gathering of her immediate family in her home. Bob has suggested that rather than flowers, those wishing to remember Ann’s life donate to Providence-Hospice of Seattle, 2811 S. 102nd Street, Suite 220, Tukwila, WA, attention Foundation Dept.
