An island woman has pleaded guilty to two charges in connection with the disappearance of a sandwich board sign in town that was advertising gun and ammunition sales.
Korina Knudson, 47, stole the sign at the corner of Vashon Highway and SW 204th Street advertising local gun seller Brad Shride’s business. The theft happened last February and was the first of two thefts. The sign was stolen again in December, but the circumstances and suspect are unknown.
Knudson entered her plea for the third degree theft and malicious mischief charges on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Seattle courthouse.
She was given a 12-month deferred sentence, according to King County Prosecutor’s Office officials. Knudson was also ordered to pay a $200 fine, $659 in restitution and multiple associated court costs, county court records show. She was also ordered to complete 25 hours of community service and enroll in counseling.
