Waves of fun at Low Tide Celebration

Families glimpsed the strange and beautiful world of the intertidal zone.

Families flocked to Point Robinson on June 22 for the annual Low Tide Celebration, glimpsing the strange and beautiful world of the intertidal zone.

The event was hosted by the Vashon Park District. Naturalists with the Vashon Nature Center helped visitors identify sea denizens, and meanwhile, on the north side of the Lighthouse, visitors dug for clams revealed by the receding waters.
