As a school board director from 2005-2009, I advocated for the success of every student in the district. I worked hard on a facilities plan that produced our new high school and helped lead the citizens’ committee that won approval to pay for it.
I will bring new energy and insights to the school board. I commit to sound maintenance practices to protect this community investment and developing a culture of stewardship and sustainability in the school district.
I will help find a fiscally responsible way to renew our failing athletic facilities because I recognize sports help educate the whole student.
We need to reduce class sizes at Chautauqua and reduce student fees. I promise a thoughtful approach to implementing Common Core and believe testing should not come at the expense of teaching our kids.
