Vashon Island Growers Association is holding its first-ever photo contest, seeking photos taken of the Farmers Market and Island farms and farmstands.

The theme of the contest is “Animal, Vegetable, Mineral,” and a winner will be selected in each category. Entries will be in an “Animal, Vegetable, Mineral” exhibit at Two Wall Gallery in August.

The primary judge for the contest, photographer Harvey Bergman, will offer mini photography workshops at the Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 3.
