Vashon Island Day Spa has recently moved, trading its home on Vashon Highway for an A-frame in Vashon Village.
Spa owner Korina Knudson opened downtown last December after operating for several years in her home. But in February, Knudson was injured in a car accident and has had to scale back her work schedule to help with her recovery.
The building in Vashon Village is roughly half the size of the one she recently left, she said, allowing her to work a part-time schedule and still be profitable. She will continue to offer the same services and at lower prices, including haircuts, facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, body waxing and cosmetic teeth whitening.
“We can still provide hot stone pedicures by the fire this winter,” Knudson added.
Her health is improving, she said, and she appreciates all the support she has received over the last several months.
“I have a great staff that’s helping me through this. I seem to be coming through this a little faster than everyone thought I would,” she said.
Vashon Island Day Spa will still be open daily, with flexible hours.
