Carpe Diem Primary School students are selling posters and notecards with original Japan-themed art in an effort to raise funds for children who suffered from the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The students created the art with help from Allison Reid and other volunteers, and the proceeds from the sales will go to Mercy Corps’ Comfort for Kids Program, an organization that helps children in local communities recover from the emotional effects of a large-scale disasters.
The posters and notecards will be available at the Farmers Market on May 28 and June 4, at Carpe Diem School in the Land Trust Building until June 16 and at Books by the Way while supplies last.
