DispatchHealth numbers up

Island urgent care provider DispatchHealth saw 101 patients in November, a boost from the 69 it saw during its first month on Vashon in October.

That’s according to data from DispatchHealth shared by the Vashon Health Care District, the public taxing district responsible for bringing the health care provider to the island this fall.

DispatchHealth has had four days with five patient visits, three days with six patient visits, and one day in which their providers saw seven patients. DispatchHealth’s average patient age is 54, and 99% of patients it has seen said they would recommend DispatchHealth to another person, according to the data shared by the company.

DispatchHealth operates on Vashon from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., 365 days per year. You can call 253-617-4010 to schedule a visit or visit dispatchhealth.com/locations/wa/vashon-maury-island.

In an emergency, call 911.

Council postpones public meetings

The Vashon-Maury Community Council (VMCC) is suspending public meetings until either March or until the council’s board of directors gains more members.

The news came from VMCC Vice President Nicole Erica Àine, who said in an email that those interested in joining the board can learn more at v-mcc.org. Multiple positions on the board remain unfilled, Àine said.

“In the interim during this transitional period, people are encouraged to attend our board meetings on the first Thursday of the month where you can make comments and raise concerns to the board,” Àine said.

The next board meeting is January 2, and a link to access the meeting will be made available at v-mcc.org.
