A deceased man was found along with an overturned kayak near Point Robinson on Saturday afternoon, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office Marine Rescue Twitter account.

King County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cindi West said Monday that passengers aboard a motorboat found the man’s body between 100 and 200 yards south of Point Robinson and reported it to authorities around 1:55 p.m. Saturday. The body was retrieved and a kayak was found shortly after. The boat was towed to the Des Moines Marina.

The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating but, as of 11 a.m. Monday, there is no further information on the man or how he died.
