Island resident Benjamin Munday has been accused of biting off part of another man’s ear during a fight on July 6 and has been charged with assault.

Island resident Benjamin Munday has been accused of biting off part of another man’s ear during a fight on July 6 and has been charged with assault.

Munday was arrested and booked into the King County jail on July 7; bail was later set at $10,000. According to jail records, Munday was still in jail at press time Tuesday.

Police records indicate that Munday was hired to do construction work at a home on Cove Walk owned by a friend. The two men had an altercation, and Munday bit off part of the other man’s ear.

This is the second time Munday has been incarcerated in the last year.

In August of 2013, he was jailed for about six weeks for propositioning girls ages 12 and 13 in Vashon town.
