A talk on burial options, with Lisa Devereau, funeral director and manager of Island Funeral Home, will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, July 12. The talk will be followed by “song baths” sung by the Threshold Choir.
A kayak adventure co-presented by Vashon Adventures and the Senior Center will take place at 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, with paddling starting at the Jensen Point Boathouse. Participants should feel comfortable getting into a kayak and sitting comfortably for a few hours to explore the protected waters in Quartermaster Harbor. The two-hour guided adventure will focus on marine life and island history. Reserve your spot with the Center, and payment will be made directly to Vashon Adventures, at a $46.20 discounted rate.
Join teen volunteers at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, for a fun-filled hour of questions and answers from real-life younger people.
